How it works
Add your WAV file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to MP3 audio, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert WAV to MP3 when smaller files and broad playback support matter more than retaining an uncompressed or lossless editing master.

Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

MP3 uses lossy compression and removes audio information to reduce file size. Keep the WAV source if you may need a higher-fidelity master later.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
MP3 uses perceptual lossy compression rather than storing PCM samples directly. The reduction in file size comes with irreversible information loss.
Repeatedly transcoding lossy audio can accumulate artifacts. Archive or edit from the WAV when practical and create MP3 copies for delivery or compatibility.
The result is produced as MP3 audio (audio/mpeg). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts MP3 audio but your source file is WAV.
The downloaded file uses MP3 audio. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
