How it works
Add your MP3 audio file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to WAV, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert MP3 audio to WAV when an editor, DAW, sampler, transcription tool or legacy workflow expects PCM audio instead of a compressed MP3 file.
MP3 → WAV
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

MimiFile writes 16-bit PCM WAV. Decoding MP3 to PCM avoids another lossy codec at the output stage, but it does not restore audio information already removed by MP3 compression.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
The audio worker uses FFmpeg and writes PCM signed 16-bit little-endian audio (pcm_s16le). For a normal conversion it retains the decoded source sample rate and channel count.
No. WAV stores the decoded samples without MP3-style perceptual compression, but information discarded before or during creation of the source MP3 cannot be reconstructed by changing the destination format.
PCM stores samples directly rather than using MP3 compression, so WAV output can be much larger. MimiFile also applies stricter duration and output-size checks to WAV conversions to prevent oversized results.
The result is produced as WAV (audio/wav). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts WAV but your source file is MP3 audio.
The downloaded file uses WAV. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
