How it works
Add your WAV file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Ogg Vorbis, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert WAV to OGG for applications, games and web-media workflows that expect an OGG audio file.
WAV → OGG
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.
Add your WAV file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Ogg Vorbis, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
The conversion changes both container and audio representation. When the OGG output uses a lossy codec such as Vorbis, information can be discarded to reduce file size.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
OGG is common in open-media, browser and game workflows. Compatibility depends on the codec and the target application, so test the output where it will be used.
If the output encoding is lossy, converting back to WAV later cannot recover discarded detail. Keep the original WAV as the editing or archival source.
The result is produced as Ogg Vorbis (audio/ogg). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts Ogg Vorbis but your source file is WAV.
The downloaded file uses Ogg Vorbis. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
