For supported PCM source audio, FLAC compression is lossless: decoding the FLAC reproduces the encoded sample data. That does not guarantee every WAV metadata chunk is retained.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
FLAC compresses PCM audio without perceptually discarding samples, so it can reduce storage compared with an uncompressed WAV while preserving the encoded audio data.
Lossless audio compression does not mean every WAV-specific metadata chunk is preserved. Check tags and workflow-specific metadata separately.
The result is produced as FLAC (audio/flac). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts FLAC but your source file is WAV.
The downloaded file uses FLAC. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
