About MimiFile
MimiFile is an independent browser-based platform for converting files, identifying unknown files and working with formats, units and currencies. Its core tools are designed to work without creating an account.
A practical conversion platform
MimiFile brings image, PDF, document, data, audio, video, archive, 3D and music workflows together with file identification, format reference pages, unit conversion and currency conversion. The product is built around useful tools rather than mandatory registration.
Temporary file processing
Uploaded and generated files are temporary and are removed after the processing and download period. MimiFile does not use file contents, filenames, extracted text or private file metadata as a branding or tracking mechanism.
Infrastructure and network processing
MimiFile's main server is hosted in Germany, in the European Economic Area. When Cloudflare proxying is enabled, web traffic can also pass through Cloudflare's global network; the privacy policy explains this distinction instead of claiming that all network traffic stays inside the EU.
Respect for authorship and metadata
A converted file remains the user's content. MimiFile may identify itself only as software, encoder, generator or technical producer when a standard field is safe and accurate. Existing authorship and rights metadata is preserved where the format and conversion allow it, and metadata-removal or anonymization operations do not re-inject MimiFile branding.
Transparency and trust
MimiFile publishes its legal notice, privacy policy, terms of use and cookie information so the service's operator, data practices and user rules can be checked directly.
