How it works
Add your MP4 file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to MP3 audio, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Extract the audio from an MP4 video as an MP3 file for listening, sharing, transcription or audio-only workflows.
MP4 → MP3
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.
Add your MP4 file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to MP3 audio, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
MimiFile uses the first audio stream in the MP4 and encodes it as 192 kb/s MP3. Video, subtitle and data streams are not included in the audio output.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
The video worker maps the first audio stream from the MP4, excludes video, subtitle and data streams, then encodes the audio with FFmpeg's libmp3lame encoder at 192 kb/s.
An MP4 with no audio stream cannot be converted to MP3 by this route. If a file contains multiple audio tracks, the current conversion uses the first audio stream rather than exporting every track.
No. The destination is MP3, so the selected audio stream is decoded and encoded as MP3. Re-encoding can change quality and file size, especially when the MP4 already contains lossy audio such as AAC.
The result is produced as MP3 audio (audio/mpeg). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts MP3 audio but your source file is MP4.
The downloaded file uses MP3 audio. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
