How it works
Add your Markdown file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to OpenDocument Text, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert Markdown (.md) into editable ODT when the content needs to move into LibreOffice, OpenOffice or another OpenDocument-compatible workflow.

Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

ODT provides a rich office-document model, while Markdown uses lightweight text markup. Check how the importer maps headings, lists, tables, links, code and images.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
ODT is useful when Markdown content needs office editing, styles, page layout or sharing through an OpenDocument-compatible application.
Markdown syntax and OpenDocument styles are different models. Verify heading hierarchy, lists, tables, code blocks, hyperlinks and image references after conversion.
The result is produced as OpenDocument Text (application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts OpenDocument Text but your source file is Markdown.
Markdown and OpenDocument Text can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Markdown source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new OpenDocument Text result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Markdown is primarily text-based. It carries much less page-layout information than a word-processing format, so a richer output cannot reconstruct formatting that was never present. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text.
OpenDocument Text is intended for editable word-processing content. It can preserve rich structure, but application-specific fields, styles, tracked changes, fonts or embedded objects may map differently.
Different document formats have different feature models. Keep the original when exact editability, typography, formulas, media or application-specific behavior matters. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check character encoding, line breaks, special characters and whether text markup or whitespace was interpreted as intended.
The downloaded file uses OpenDocument Text. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
