EPUB is a packaged digital publication, not just renamed Markdown. Review reading order, headings, links, images and navigation in an ebook reader before publishing.

EPUB adapts content to different reading screens and can be opened by many ebook applications. It is useful when Markdown content needs distribution as a digital publication.
A Markdown file may contain headings and links but not complete ebook navigation or publication metadata. Check chapter hierarchy, table-of-contents behavior, images and code blocks after conversion.
Reflow can change line wrapping, code presentation and image placement. Open the result in the intended reading software before treating it as publication-ready.
The result is produced as EPUB (application/epub+zip). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.

Markdown and EPUB can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Markdown source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new EPUB result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Markdown is primarily text-based. It carries much less page-layout information than a word-processing format, so a richer output cannot reconstruct formatting that was never present. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text.
EPUB is suited to reflowable reading on e-readers and reading apps. Fixed page geometry is not its purpose.
The result is reflowable, so fixed page breaks, headers/footers, floating objects and print-oriented layout can be rearranged for reading screens. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check character encoding, line breaks, special characters and whether text markup or whitespace was interpreted as intended. For EPUB, test the result in a real e-reader or reading app because reflow can differ by viewport and font settings.
The downloaded file uses EPUB. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
