How it works
Add your Markdown file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to DOCX, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert Markdown (.md) to editable DOCX when notes, documentation or a README need to move into Microsoft Word, review or office-document workflows.

Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

The result is a real DOCX document produced through LibreOffice. Markdown syntax support depends on the importer, so verify structure instead of assuming GitHub-style rendering.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
DOCX is useful when Markdown content needs Word editing, comments, office sharing or an upload portal that expects an OOXML document rather than plain markup.
Check headings, lists, tables, code fences, inline code, links, images and raw HTML. Markdown has multiple dialects and LibreOffice does not necessarily interpret every extension like GitHub or a dedicated Markdown engine.
DOCX can add rich office formatting after conversion, but the process cannot infer intended styles or assets that the Markdown source and importer do not provide.
The result is produced as DOCX (application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts DOCX but your source file is Markdown.
Markdown and DOCX can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Markdown source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new DOCX result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Markdown is primarily text-based. It carries much less page-layout information than a word-processing format, so a richer output cannot reconstruct formatting that was never present. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text.
DOCX is intended for editable word-processing content. It can preserve rich structure, but application-specific fields, styles, tracked changes, fonts or embedded objects may map differently.
Different document formats have different feature models. Keep the original when exact editability, typography, formulas, media or application-specific behavior matters. Markdown is imported through the office pipeline, not through a dedicated Markdown rendering engine. Verify whether Markdown punctuation was interpreted as expected or remained literal text. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check character encoding, line breaks, special characters and whether text markup or whitespace was interpreted as intended.
The downloaded file uses DOCX. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
