How it works
Add your PSD file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to PNG, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert PSD to PNG when you need a flat, widely supported image that can retain transparency from the rendered Photoshop composite without adding a lossy output step.

PNG can retain alpha transparency, but it cannot retain Photoshop's editable layer structure. MimiFile writes the visible composite as one flat PNG image.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
No. The output is one PNG image. Visible layer results are rendered into the composite, while separate layers, masks, editable text and smart objects are no longer editable.
PNG supports alpha transparency, so transparency present in the decoded PSD composite can be represented in the output.
PNG itself is written without an intentional lossy quality step in MimiFile's current image path. That does not mean the Photoshop document structure is preserved: the layered PSD is still flattened to pixels.
The result is produced as PNG (image/png). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts PNG but your source file is PSD.
PSD and PNG are not interchangeable containers. MimiFile decodes the visible image from PSD, normalizes it and writes a new PNG file. PNG is useful for screenshots, interface graphics, logos and images that need lossless pixels or transparency.
For a PSD, MimiFile converts the composite preview image. Editable Photoshop layers, masks and layer structure are not preserved. Orientation is applied before the output is written, so the pixels are saved in the displayed orientation. Embedded metadata is stripped from the converted image.
PNG is written without intentionally adding a lossy quality step in MimiFile's current image path. PNG can carry transparency, so an alpha channel present in the decoded source can be retained.

Compare the PNG result with the original PSD before replacing your source, especially when color, transparency, small text or fine photographic detail matters.
The downloaded file uses PNG. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
