How it works
Add your PSD file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to JPEG 2000, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert a PSD composite to JP2 for specialist JPEG 2000 imaging or archival workflows. The result is a flat image intended for software that explicitly supports JP2.

Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

JP2 does not retain Photoshop layer editability in this conversion. MimiFile flattens the PSD composite and currently writes JPEG 2000 with an encoder quality setting of 90.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
They are flattened into the rendered image. Masks, editable text, smart objects and other Photoshop-specific structure are not preserved as editable objects in JP2.
JP2 is used in specialist imaging, technical and archival workflows. It is less universally supported in everyday browsers and applications than JPG or PNG.
The current image worker writes JP2 with a quality setting of 90. Compare the output with the PSD composite when fine detail or color fidelity is important.
The result is produced as JPEG 2000 (image/jp2). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts JPEG 2000 but your source file is PSD.
PSD and JPEG 2000 are not interchangeable containers. MimiFile decodes the visible image from PSD, normalizes it and writes a new JPEG 2000 file. JPEG 2000 is useful in specialist imaging, archival and technical workflows that explicitly support JP2; browser and app compatibility is less universal than JPEG or PNG.
For a PSD, MimiFile converts the composite preview image. Editable Photoshop layers, masks and layer structure are not preserved. Orientation is applied before the output is written, so the pixels are saved in the displayed orientation. Embedded metadata is stripped from the converted image.
JPEG 2000 supports compressed image encoding; the final size and visual fidelity depend on the encoder settings and the source content. MimiFile currently writes JPEG 2000 with an encoder quality setting of 90. JPEG 2000 can carry transparency, so an alpha channel present in the decoded source can be retained.

Compare the JPEG 2000 result with the original PSD before replacing your source, especially when color, transparency, small text or fine photographic detail matters.
The downloaded file uses JPEG 2000. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
