How it works
Add your PSD file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to GIF, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert a PSD composite to a static GIF for simple graphics or legacy workflows. MimiFile flattens the Photoshop document and reduces the output to GIF's 256-color palette.

Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

This conversion creates a static GIF, not an animation. Photoshop layers and masks are flattened, and the 256-color GIF palette can reduce gradients and color detail.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
No. MimiFile's current image conversion path writes one static GIF. It does not turn PSD layers into animation frames or create a timeline.
They are flattened into the visible composite. Separate layers, masks, smart objects and editable text are not available in the GIF.
GIF uses a palette limited to 256 colors. Photographs, gradients and complex artwork can therefore lose color precision compared with the PSD composite.
The result is produced as GIF (image/gif). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts GIF but your source file is PSD.
PSD and GIF are not interchangeable containers. MimiFile decodes the visible image from PSD, normalizes it and writes a new GIF file. GIF remains useful for simple legacy-compatible graphics; MimiFile's current image conversion output is static rather than animated.
For a PSD, MimiFile converts the composite preview image. Editable Photoshop layers, masks and layer structure are not preserved. Orientation is applied before the output is written, so the pixels are saved in the displayed orientation. Embedded metadata is stripped from the converted image.
GIF is written without intentionally adding a lossy quality step in MimiFile's current image path. GIF can carry transparency, so an alpha channel present in the decoded source can be retained.

MimiFile currently produces a static GIF from image conversions; it does not create a new animation sequence. Compare the GIF result with the original PSD before replacing your source, especially when color, transparency, small text or fine photographic detail matters.
The downloaded file uses GIF. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
