WAV stores decoded audio in an editing-friendly representation, but expanding a lossy OGG source to PCM does not recreate information removed during the original encoding.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
WAV is convenient for editing and software that expects decoded PCM-style audio. It avoids another perceptual compression stage at the output.
Decoded WAV audio generally uses substantially more storage than compressed OGG. Keep the original source when file size or provenance matters.
The result is produced as WAV (audio/wav). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts WAV but your source file is Ogg Vorbis.
The downloaded file uses WAV. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
