How it works
Add your Rich Text Format file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Plain text, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Extract plain text from an RTF document when you need lightweight characters and line breaks for scripts, search, imports or analysis.
RTF → TXT
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

TXT intentionally strips RTF formatting and embedded document features. Keep the RTF source when styling, tables, images or page structure matter.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
Rich Text Format is accepted here as application/rtf. The current source-file limit is 50 MB.
The result is produced as Plain text (text/plain). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts Plain text but your source file is Rich Text Format.
Rich Text Format and Plain text can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Rich Text Format source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new Plain text result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Rich Text Format is a formatted word-processing document. It can contain paragraphs, styles, tables, page settings, fields, images and other layout-oriented objects.
TXT keeps plain text only. Page layout, images, rich styling and most document structure are intentionally not represented.
This conversion is intentionally destructive for layout: the useful result is the textual content, not a visual copy of the source document. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check fonts, pagination, headings, lists, tables, headers/footers, fields, comments or tracked changes, images and embedded objects.
The downloaded file uses Plain text. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
