How it works
Add your Rich Text Format file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to DOCX, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert an RTF document to DOCX when you need a modern editable Word file for current office software, collaboration or document workflows.
RTF → DOCX
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

DOCX can represent more structure than RTF, but conversion cannot invent features absent from the source. Review tables, images, fields, fonts and pagination after migration.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
Rich Text Format is accepted here as application/rtf. The current source-file limit is 50 MB.
The result is produced as DOCX (application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts DOCX but your source file is Rich Text Format.
Rich Text Format and DOCX can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Rich Text Format source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new DOCX result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Rich Text Format is a formatted word-processing document. It can contain paragraphs, styles, tables, page settings, fields, images and other layout-oriented objects.
DOCX is intended for editable word-processing content. It can preserve rich structure, but application-specific fields, styles, tracked changes, fonts or embedded objects may map differently.
When moving between editable word-processing formats, compare page breaks, styles, lists, tables, headers/footers, fields and embedded objects. A richer destination does not restore information already absent from the source. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check fonts, pagination, headings, lists, tables, headers/footers, fields, comments or tracked changes, images and embedded objects.
The downloaded file uses DOCX. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
