How it works
Add your Plain text file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Microsoft Word 97–2003, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert plain text to legacy DOC when an older Word-compatible application or business system specifically requires the Word 97–2003 format.

The source contains plain text only. DOC adds an editable legacy document container, but conversion cannot reconstruct formatting, images or document structure absent from TXT.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.

The result is produced as Microsoft Word 97–2003 (application/msword). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts Microsoft Word 97–2003 but your source file is Plain text.
Plain text and Microsoft Word 97–2003 can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Plain text source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new Microsoft Word 97–2003 result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Plain text is primarily text-based. It carries much less page-layout information than a word-processing format, so a richer output cannot reconstruct formatting that was never present.
Microsoft Word 97–2003 is intended for editable word-processing content. It can preserve rich structure, but application-specific fields, styles, tracked changes, fonts or embedded objects may map differently.
Different document formats have different feature models. Keep the original when exact editability, typography, formulas, media or application-specific behavior matters. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check character encoding, line breaks, special characters and whether text markup or whitespace was interpreted as intended.
The downloaded file uses Microsoft Word 97–2003. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
