PDF and EPUB can differ in compression, metadata, transparency, animation, container or codec support. The result follows the capabilities of EPUB.
Current source limit : 128 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.

The result is produced as EPUB (application/epub+zip). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.

PDF stores fixed pages. Converting PDF to EPUB creates a new representation of those pages; it does not restore the original authoring file.
EPUB rebuilds PDF content for reflowable reading. Fixed page breaks and positioned elements can move, simplify or read in a different order.
Open the EPUB in a real reading app and check chapter flow, images, links, reading order and reflow at different text sizes.
The downloaded file uses EPUB. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
