Converting MSCX to PDF changes what the destination file is designed to store. MuseScore Studio handles the export, so notation, layout, playback or audio characteristics can change with the target format.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
MSCX is MuseScore’s uncompressed XML score format, useful for text-based inspection and versioning. MimiFile validates the MuseScore score file before sending it to the isolated music worker. The source remains temporary and is not used as permanent score storage.
PDF is a fixed-layout document for viewing and printing the score, not an editable notation format. MuseScore Studio opens the score and exports a new PDF file using its native conversion engine.
PDF preserves the rendered page appearance for reading or printing, but the result is a fixed document rather than an editable score.
Review page breaks, fonts and engraving in the PDF before printing or publishing the score.
