How it works
Add your Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to OpenDocument Presentation, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert an older PPT presentation into editable ODP when you need an OpenDocument deck for LibreOffice, OpenOffice or another ODF-compatible workflow.
PPT → ODP
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.
Add your Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to OpenDocument Presentation, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
PPT and ODP use different presentation models. Common slide content transfers more directly than every master, animation, transition, chart or embedded legacy object.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 is accepted here as application/vnd.ms-powerpoint. The current source-file limit is 90 MB.
The result is produced as OpenDocument Presentation (application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.presentation). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts OpenDocument Presentation but your source file is Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003.
Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 and OpenDocument Presentation can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new OpenDocument Presentation result rather than merely renaming the extension.
Microsoft PowerPoint 97–2003 is a slide-deck format with positioned objects, themes, fonts, media and potentially transitions or animations.
OpenDocument Presentation keeps the result as an editable presentation format. Static slide content usually maps better than application-specific transitions, animations, media or theme behavior.
When moving between PPT, PPTX and ODP, compare fonts, theme colors, object positions, transitions, animations, audio/video and other application-specific effects slide by slide. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check slide size, fonts, text wrapping, object positions, images, media, theme colors, transitions and animations.
The downloaded file uses OpenDocument Presentation. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
