How it works
Add your OpenDocument Text file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Flat OpenDocument Text, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert packaged ODT to FODT when you need the OpenDocument Text model represented as a single flat XML file rather than a ZIP-based ODT package.
ODT → FODT
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

ODT and FODT represent the same OpenDocument text family differently: ODT is packaged, while FODT is flat XML. Keep ODT for normal document exchange when compact packaging matters.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
OpenDocument Text is accepted here as application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text. The current source-file limit is 90 MB.
The result is produced as Flat OpenDocument Text (application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-flat-xml). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts Flat OpenDocument Text but your source file is OpenDocument Text.
OpenDocument Text and Flat OpenDocument Text can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the OpenDocument Text source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new Flat OpenDocument Text result rather than merely renaming the extension.
OpenDocument Text is a formatted word-processing document. It can contain paragraphs, styles, tables, page settings, fields, images and other layout-oriented objects.
Flat OpenDocument Text is intended for editable word-processing content. It can preserve rich structure, but application-specific fields, styles, tracked changes, fonts or embedded objects may map differently.
When moving between editable word-processing formats, compare page breaks, styles, lists, tables, headers/footers, fields and embedded objects. A richer destination does not restore information already absent from the source. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check fonts, pagination, headings, lists, tables, headers/footers, fields, comments or tracked changes, images and embedded objects.
The downloaded file uses Flat OpenDocument Text. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
