How it works
Enter a value, select Kelvin and Celsius, then MimiFile calculates the result instantly using the conversion model for this category.
Convert thermodynamic temperature from kelvin (K) to degrees Celsius (°C). The scales use equal-sized increments but different zero points.

Subtract exactly 273.15 from kelvin: °C = K − 273.15. Kelvin uses the symbol K without a degree sign.
Temperature uses an affine scale/offset model.
°C = K − 273.15. For example, 273.15 K = 0°C and 293.15 K = 20°C.
0 K corresponds to −273.15°C. Negative kelvin values are outside the ordinary thermodynamic temperature scale even if a calculator can evaluate the arithmetic.
A temperature difference of 1 K has the same magnitude as a difference of 1°C; the 273.15 offset applies to absolute temperature values, not differences.
Useful when a specification, map, recipe, technical document or device uses Celsius while your source value is in Kelvin.
