How it works
Add your PNG file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to JPEG image, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Convert PNG to JPEG image with temporary processing. This page shows the supported input, output and current size limit.

Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 50 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

PNG and JPEG image can differ in compression, metadata, transparency, animation, container or codec support. The result follows the capabilities of JPEG image.
Current source limit : 50 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
PNG is accepted here as image/png. The current source-file limit is 50 MB.
The result is produced as JPEG image (image/jpeg). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts JPEG image but your source file is PNG.
PNG and JPEG image are not interchangeable containers. MimiFile decodes the visible image from PNG, normalizes it and writes a new JPEG image file. JPEG is a practical choice for photographs and broad compatibility when transparency is not needed.
PNG is processed as one static image for this conversion. Orientation is applied before the output is written, so the pixels are saved in the displayed orientation. Embedded metadata is stripped from the converted image.
JPEG image uses lossy encoding, so re-encoding can discard additional fine detail even when the image dimensions stay the same. MimiFile currently writes JPEG image with an encoder quality setting of 90. JPEG image does not preserve alpha transparency here; transparent pixels are flattened onto a white background.

Compare the JPEG image result with the original PNG before replacing your source, especially when color, transparency, small text or fine photographic detail matters.
The downloaded file uses JPEG image. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
