How it works
Add your EPUB file. MimiFile checks the format, converts it to Plain text, and provides a temporary download when the result is ready.
Extract plain readable text from an EPUB when you need lightweight content for search, scripts, imports or analysis rather than an ebook package.
EPUB → TXT
Drag and drop, paste a file, or browse your device.
Files are temporary and deleted automatically.
Limits: 90 MB per file · 128 MB total per batch.

TXT cannot preserve EPUB structure. Styling, images, links, navigation, metadata and reading order semantics beyond the exported text representation are lost, so retain the EPUB source when they matter.
Current source limit : 90 MB per file. Up to 10 files can be submitted in a batch, subject to the global batch ceiling.
EPUB is accepted here as application/epub+zip. The current source-file limit is 90 MB.
The result is produced as Plain text (text/plain). Features unsupported by the destination format cannot be preserved.
Use this when a service, device or workflow accepts Plain text but your source file is EPUB.
EPUB and Plain text can represent document structure differently. MimiFile imports the EPUB source through its isolated office-processing pipeline and writes a new Plain text result rather than merely renaming the extension.
EPUB is a reflowable e-book format. Its content is intended to adapt to the reading device instead of preserving a fixed page layout. Turning EPUB into a paginated or editable office format creates a new layout from reflowable content, so page breaks and object positions can change substantially.
TXT keeps plain text only. Page layout, images, rich styling and most document structure are intentionally not represented.
This conversion is intentionally destructive for layout: the useful result is the textual content, not a visual copy of the source document. Turning EPUB into a paginated or editable office format creates a new layout from reflowable content, so page breaks and object positions can change substantially. The conversion is performed with an isolated headless LibreOffice profile. Features that have no equivalent in the destination format can be changed, flattened or omitted.
Check chapter flow, headings, images, links, paragraph spacing and where new page breaks were introduced by the destination format.
The downloaded file uses Plain text. Check the result if the source contains transparency, animation, embedded fonts, metadata or other format-specific features.
