GLB and glTF
Use GLB for a compact self-contained glTF asset or embedded glTF when you need a JSON-based scene representation. These formats can carry materials, textures, scene nodes and animation.
Convert the model to GLB, embedded glTF, OBJ or STL. Choose the target according to what you need to preserve.
3D formats do not preserve the same data. MimiFile converts supported models while making the target format explicit, so you can choose a format for web delivery, game engines, interchange or 3D printing. The conversion rewrites the model data rather than simply changing the extension.

OBJ is a broadly supported mesh interchange format. STL is geometry-focused and commonly used for fabrication and 3D printing, but it does not preserve a full scene's materials or animations.
Supported STEP/STP routes tessellate CAD solid geometry into a mesh representation. Converting a mesh to STEP does not recreate editable parametric CAD surfaces.
GLB or glTF is usually the strongest fit for web 3D because the glTF ecosystem is designed for efficient real-time delivery of meshes and scene assets.
No. STL is primarily a triangle-surface geometry format and does not carry the full material, texture, hierarchy or animation data available in GLB or glTF.
No. A valid 3D conversion parses the source representation and exports new data that follows the target format.
